Strategic Plan

In 2021, our staff and board worked together to come up with a strategic plan to guide our for work for the coming years. Here are our priorities:

Our People

Strengthen staff-power and ability to transition leadership.

Invest in our staff with sustainable full-time, well-compensate position, support their leadership development, and support founders in transitioning from leadership at a pace that makes sense for the organization and for them.

Our Stories

Expand storytelling and communications.

Increase the reach of our storytelling and communications to share our successes, and build relationships with other youth organizations, community members, and funders.

Our Youth

Nurture youth-led programs, organization, and board.

Continue to promote youth leadership at every level. Support youth leadership in program visioning, planning, facilitation, and evaluation. Strengthen our youth-led board by supporting the youth organizing team, recruiting more youth members, supporting anti-ageism work by adult board members, and deepening connections between adult and youth board members.

Our Community

Expand grassroots fundraising.

Build skills and comfort in fundraising for youth, staff, and board to develop broader fundraising capacity that prioritizes relationships, centers our community and aligns with our values, uses fundraising as an opportunity to organize, and strategically approaches grant-writing to increase stability. Prioritize grassroots fundraising as our primary funding stream.

Our Programs

Keep offering awesome programming.

Continue to offer impactful programming through school teams, coaching, cohort programs, and internships. Prioritize work on mental health, healthy relationships, consent and boundary0setting, gentrification, anti-black racism, and building connection to native communities.
