The Summer Internship Program is our mixed gender cohort program that has run for every summer since 2015! Every summer, we have around 20-25 middle school and high schoolers in our cohort. Our Summer Internship changes every year depending on what our youth want to see out of this program. For example, in 2025, we shifted into doing a 5-day long overnight retreat over in Neah Bay in Northwest Washington on the Makah Reservation. The year before, we broke our cohort into small groups based on social problems they wanted to learn more about. We’ll continue to keep you updated on how we’ll run Summer Internship this year as we continue experimenting with new formatting!
